Core Protocol Specification

This repository contains the core protocol specifications first implemented in the MeshCore firmware. The core and companion (host) protocols have been split into their own respective documents and detailed based on the current (April 2026) implementations.

Feedback and discussion

Chat

We are on irc.libera.chat in the channels #coreprotocol and #coreprotocol-dev. You can chat without an account or special client software by using the web client.
